Riverside Road Seal Extension

Grant Hood Contracting was engaged to undertake the construction of a road seal extension by granular overlay and two-coat chip sealing at Riverside Road and Inglis Road, located in Okuku.

Scope of Works included:

• Granular Overlay and Chip Sealing - A 100mm minimum M4/40 granular overlay was constructed to strengthen and prepare the road base. This was followed by the application of a two-coat chip seal (Grade 3/5) to provide a durable and weather-resistant sealed surface.
• Property Entranceway Construction - As part of the project, new property entranceways were constructed and sealed to ensure consistent access and integration with the upgraded roadway.
• Stormwater Management - A rural soak pit was constructed to support effective drainage and stormwater management in the area.
• Road Signage and Markings - The project included the upgrade of existing road signage and the application of new road markings to improve safety and compliance with road standards.

Outcome:

The works were completed to a high standard, providing improved road infrastructure, enhanced safety, and better accessibility for residents and road users in the Okuku area.
